Emily Stephens

Emily Stephens is from Rochester, MN. She moved to Grand Forks for college and completed her undergrad and graduate work at UND. As a speech-language pathologist, she works with people who have communication and swallowing disorders. In addition to working at NDHC, she also provides speech therapy services at the Mayville and Hillsboro hospital and nursing homes. She enjoys working in rural communities because of the wide variety of populations and disorders that she gets to work with. Her greatest professional interests include aphasia and cognitive disorder in adults as well as kids with articulation disorders. She is also certified to provide LSVT Loud treatment to patient's with Parkinson's disease and other neurological disorders. Her interests include crafting, photography, movies, card games, Sioux hockey, and having bon fires with friends/family.


Colby Schaley
Colby Schaley

Colby grew up in Mayville, ND. She obtained a bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of North Dakota and went on to earn a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology at St. Cloud State University. Colby has worked for Sanford Health in Fargo since 2013 providing therapy to patients of all ages and disorders, but specializing in pediatrics, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). She transferred to Sanford Health in Mayville in the spring of 2017 and also covers Hillsboro and Northwood healthcare facilities. Colby is married with one daughter. Her family enjoys traveling, home projects, cooking, and spending time at the lake.
