CRITICAL ACCESS HOSPITAL

NDHC's critical access 12-bed hospital provides skilled care when a hospital stay is needed for observation, to stabilize, for comfort care, or for longer stays in "swing bed" care following surgeries or other health events that require a healing and rehab period. We provide round-the-clock medical supervision and supportive care.

With onsite lab, xray/imaging, pharmacy, and therapy services, NDHC is equipped to support nearly all diagnostic and treatment needs on its campus.

Services Include:

• Admission from the emergency room for continued treatment and/or care

• Admission for patients recovering from surgery or traumatic injuries

• Swing bed care for individuals who need additional healing and recovery time before returning home

• Access to NDHC's patient support specialists who can provide resources and assist with establishing follow up care and navigate insurance and billing questions. 

• Pastoral care from an onsite chaplain​
