2022 needs assessment released

Northwood Deaconess Health Center (NDHC) released its 2022 Community Health Needs Assessment, which was approved by its board of directors in November.

Among the leading concerns identified by respondents are availability of mental health services, substance use, and availability of resources to help elderly live independently.

The assessment is conducted every three years to identify the health strengths, challenges and opportunities unique to our community, said NDHC’s CEO, Pete Antonson.

“The information provided through the assessment process is critical to help us make positive impacts on the health of residents in our region,” he said.

In partnership with Grand Forks County Public Health and the Center for Rural Health at the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences, the assessment surveyed area residents to help inform future decisions and strategic planning.
