YOUTH EDUCATION PROGRAMS
Happen Here
NDHC spearheads programs in our communities that promote health and wellness as well as provide opportunities for youth to learn about healthcare careers.
NDHC physician Dr. Erika Stein provided campers insights into her work providing medical care to the community during the 2022 camp.
Scrubs Camp
The R-COOL-Health Scrubs Camp provides an opportunity for students to explore their health and develop an understanding of healthcare careers.
The camp is supported through the UND Center for Rural Health. Students participate in several hands-on activities in the areas of occupational and physical therapy, emergency services, nursing, pharmacy, lab and xray, and physican/nurse practitioner care.
In 2022, NDHC sponsored the camp for 8th graders at Northwood Public School.
To bring an NDHC Scrubs Camp to your school, contact our Community Health Resource Coordinator.
